Wedding Ceremonies

Elopements

If you just want to get married, this is a great option.  Let me create the ceremony you have always dreamed of without the fuss or the family feud.  All you need to do is complete a Notice of Intended Marriage form at least one month prior to your wedding, choose a beautiful place, bring two witnesses over 18, yourselves and me, and voila.

Renewal of Vows

If you would like to share your union with family and friends by reaffirming your love for each other, a renewal will provide all the romance, excitement, and festivity of a wedding.

Commitment Ceremony

Commitment to a loved one is a one of the most meaningful moments in a person’s life, a celebration of the bond of love between two people.  The difference is rather than being a legally binding ceremony, it is simply a public affirmation of a couple’s commitment to one another.

Same Sex Wedding

Civil unions provide a degree of affirmation and legal certainty for same-sex couples.  The commencement of civil union ceremonies in Queensland boosts the case for marriage equality nationally.  Queensland couples can have civil union ceremonies following the re-enactment of civil union legislation in late 2015.

Themed Weddings

The only limit is your imagination!

Hand Fasting Ceremony

Hand Fasting refers to the hands being bound together as part of a traditional Celtic ritual.

Sand Ceremony

The pouring of individual containers of sand; as these two containers of sand are poured together, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one.

Unity Candle

This ceremony can be performed in various ways.  One of the most popular being the bride’s parents light one candle, the groom’s parents another.  Together, the bride and groom use these candles to light a third candle of their own.

Stone Ceremony

A beautiful and symbolic way of involving all those present, each guest holds a stone throughout the ceremony transferring their love, heartfelt blessings and good wishes.  This is then placed in a bowl for the Bride and Groom to keep.

Warming of the Rings

Family and guests take part in this spiritual ritual, holding them for a moment.
