How early is it necessary to book a celebrant?

Celebrants are usually very busy, so it is important that you book as soon as you have decided on a date and time, and booked your venue.

How long does a ceremony normally go for?

A wedding ceremony usually takes around 20-30 minutes, but if you wish to make it shorter or longer, that is not a problem.

How many witnesses do we need?

You will need two witnesses.  This can be anyone you choose, as long as they are both over the age of eighteen.

What happens if it rains?

If the weather is not favourable on your wedding day, you will need to call it at least three hours prior to your ceremony, time to go to your Plan B destination.  Let your celebrant and guests know.

Do we need a rehearsal?

No, a rehearsal is optional, however most couples these days opt not to have a one.  An experienced celebrant will guide you through your personalised ceremony on the day.

What about music?

Unless you have a talented musician friend, I will play your songs through my amp.  You will need a song to walk down the aisle, two while signing, one to walk out as Mr & Mrs.

On our wedding day which name does the Bride sign?

On the day you will sign for the last time under your maiden name, unless you have previously had a legal name change.
